damn, this is actually a great game

This game is really fun got to 25

Hey, this game looks cool but can you please add it to mobile? I'm struggling to start the game and, I thought the d-pad like things were for mobile, please add it to mobile.

Doesn't work for me, in either chrome or firefox. Just a black space. idk what to say..

(+1)

Maybe some extensions are interfering?

when it starts, it says its using "unity webgl player", that doesn't work, so I tried chrome and firefox, these didn't work either. Tried with edge, nope. Librewolf? No go. Always the black window. Might be my system, idk.. usually, 99% of games works tho. I might try a restart run..

yeah, so it's the second game on itch that does this, doesn't work with the itch.io windows application, but works just fine on itch.io website.. not sure about how that works

(+2)

i kept pressing arrow keys when selecting element

(+7)

If this game taught me anything its that I have the reaction time of a litteral brick because oh my god it should not be this hard

This is awesome! tricky and the amount of combinations make it fun for hours

(+3)

very fun game! Enjoyed the short learning curve, and going for highscores is very fun once you figure out the weakness tells.

I enjoyed the controls, having to input two things at once made for a fun difficulty layer.

This is panic inducing haha.

I'd maybe suggest the way you select attacks is more friendly to the player.

Maybe something like select element, then attack? Also maybe it'd be too obvious, but the attack names could be associated with a icon to show what kind of attack it is to get a quick read on the type.
i.e.

Thrust stab - circle

Side slice - is a a slice mark

Other than that. I really like polish in here!

haha Super fun!! This is the kind of title I could play on the go to kill a few minutes at a time

I appreciate the fact that this game (at least currently) does not contain any code that interferes with JoyToKey. I would buy a Windows release.

This is so much fun!  My only problem is that the attacks are kinda confusing because overhead is down despite being from up above, why is it not mapped to up, side slice is left, but the slice is from the right, and the pommel strike is visualized from the left but its mapped to the right, but other than that this is great!

Thanks! Think about the arrows as the direction the sword moves during the actual attack.

nice game reminds me of the nintendo ds thing

It starts going faster and faster and wtf is there any limit?
28 PR, but I think I could go till 35?

28 is amazing!

(1 edit) (+1)

I would recommend you to figure it out by yourself, that's the fun part, but if you're stuck, here's the cheat sheet

I would normally learn the weaknesses, but the way how the controls are mapped out with certain attacks confuses me. Not how I would be used to it.

This game looks pretty crisp, though.

Thanks! Think about the arrows as the direction the sword moves during the actual attack.

I suppose that is one way of putting it, although I much rather have lighting be assigned to "S" while fire and ice are left and right respectively—unless it is suppose to be a nod to something that retro games do to map out controls.

If you use a controller, and put the keyboard defaults into JoyToKey, you'll be able to create a different layout.

I really liked this game

(+1)(-2)

input for vertical slash and thrust are just wrong for sense

(+3)

Thanks for playing! So the forward stab should be down, and the attack where you bring your sword down over an enemy's head should be up? I'm not sure I agree!

(1 edit)

Not that I really think it's too much of a problem, I got used to it, but I do think I was tripped up by the down button being an *overhead* attack.
You're swinging the sword over your head onto the opponent, it's not typically described as "down" like you're saying. Though moving the overhead to the up button would force the thrust to be the down button, which probably isn't much better. It's just preference I suppose. Fun game nonetheless.

Fun idea, but doesn't respond to input for me (Chrome)

Did you click on the game to focus it? it won't respond to input if you've clicked elsewhere

I did, no joy :/

(+1)

Oh but I've tried it again today and it worked fine! Presumably Chrome playing up.

Glad it worked! Can't stand chrome atp, firefox all the way

Well done!

(+2)

Overhead cleaver should be up arrow other then that great game.

Thanks for playing! So the forward stab should be down, and the attack where you bring your sword down over an enemy's head should be up? I'm not sure I agree!

love how there is no guidence exept for the little help before a run! no typing matchups or cheatsheet make it a lot more fun to figure it out yourself and it feels so rewarding to get past the first enemy. great game you got here!

(+1)

That's the idea! :) Thanks!

good work
